'I like a lot of great movies. Gone With the Wind, The Searchers...': It was Fergie time at the Oscars last night

The former Manchester United manager said he had nothing better to do.

IF THEREโ€™S ONE thing Alex Ferguson has proven himself a failure at, it is keeping a low profile.

Just when we thought the sight of his concerned face was a thing of the past in the stands of Old Trafford, up he popped at the bloominโ€™ Academy Awards last night.

Skyโ€™s cameras caught up with him as he strolled into none other than the Vanity Fair after party, and he was keen to talk about moviesโ€ฆ any movie.

Rumours circulating around Tinseltown today are that Fergie is in Hollywood to start filming in his new leading role as Francesco Schettino, the Italian skipper who also famously jumped a sinking ship. He beat off competition for the role from Fabio Capello who, also a renowned ship-jumper. Even though he is Italian, Americans can understand Fergies attempt at the English language better than the Capelloโ€™s!!
