Federer plays a 'tweener' off opponent's back, draws a chuckle from new bestie Michael Jordan

All aboard the showboat!

IT WAS BUSINESS as usual for Roger Federer as he wrapped up his US Open first-round match against Marinko Matosevic in straight sets last night.

Federer even found time to break out his trademark ‘tweener’, much to the delight of basketball legend Michael Jordan.

It was unashamed showboating as the Australian had already turned his back after an attempted lob went long.

But with MJ watching from the stands Federer couldn’t pass up a perfect opportunity and played the shot between his legs, hitting an oblivious Matosevic in the back.

The two greats, who have been collaborating on a new Nike tennis shoe recently, certainly enjoyed it.
