Fantasyland: If you don't have him already, now's probably a good time to put Bale in your team

THROUGHOUT THE SEASON, certain Fantasy players have resisted the temptation of putting Gareth Bale into their side.

These players consist of two main groups – those who have continually thought his good run was just a phase which was bound to end eventually, and staunch Arsenal fans.

However, if you are one of these people, now is probably the time to concede defeat.

It’s a double gameweek for Tottenham, and if Bale doesn’t score in their vital game against Chelsea, it would be no surprise were he to be on target against former club Southampton.

Two players to pick (aside from Bale)

Carlos Tevez: It’s also a double gameweek for Manchester City, and Tevez has been their highest points-scoring striker, therefore it figures that you would pick him, given that City have two very winnable games against Swansea and West Brom coming up. That said, Mancini has a tendency to adopt an eccentric selection policy, so there is always a degree of risk in selecting the Argentinian, or any of their players for that matter.

Santi Cazorla: Arsenal face a must-win game against a QPR side that are already relegated, therefore it’d be no surprise if Cazorla and co enjoy a productive day against Harry Redknapp’s struggling side. Moreover, despite arguably being Arsenal’s most consistent player this season, the Spaniard was somewhat harshly left out of the Premier League Team of the Year, so he will surely be more motivated than ever to prove a point.

Two players to avoid

Asmir Begovic: Stoke have more or less assured their safety from relegation by now, and this weekend play a Sunderland side who still need to ensure their survival. Expect Paolo Di Canio’s side to avenge their 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Villa last week with a much-improved performance, against a side with little other than pride to play for.

Luis Suarez: This may seem like common sense, given that he is suspended for the remainder of the season, but an incredible 17.3% of teams still have Suarez in their side. Either, they haven’t checked their team in ages, or they’re just incredibly bad at Fantasy Football. Most likely, the former.
