AN INTELLIGENT ASSIST from Radamel Falcao helped Wayne Rooney get Man United off the mark against Newcastle today.

A through pass from Juan Mata then allowed Rooney to finish coolly for his second of the afternoon to put the Red Devils 2-0 ahead at the break.

Robin van Persie scored United’s third in the second half, before Papiss Cissé got a late consolation for the Magpies.

Falcao played well today and Ashley Young is taking his run in the team well. Amazing what you can do when you stay on your feet Ash.

I agree. Falcao did play well. Very energetic and good link up play. A few more goals and he’ll be brimming with confidence. However with the disastrous duo of Jones and Evans it’ll negate any good the attack do. They can’t pass or defend. Complete liabilities in my opinion.

Not really, don’t get me wrong he played very well but personally I thought Mata was the best player on the park today.

Not above everybody, cause Heskey scored an absolute screamer after two mins for bolton. Must have been at least six yards away from the goal line and he buried it down the middle of the goal, the net has to be replaced. Apparently it recorded a mind boggling of 5mph.. Yet another world record for the most gifted backgammon and lawn bowls player that great britian has produced!!
