Brilliant video captures what it means to win the FAI Junior Cup

The captain of last year’s champions relives winning the biggest competition in Irish junior football.

WE’RE DOWN TO the final four in this season’s FAI Junior Cup as next weekend sees Ballynanty Rovers of Limerick hosting Dublin side Collinstown and current holders Sheriff YC take on Tipperary’s St Michael’s.

Sponsors Aviva have made this excellent video in which Sheriff captain Paul Murphy recalls the feeling of lining out at the Aviva Stadium last year ahead of their upcoming semi-final.

The final will be played at Lansdowne Road on 25 May hours before Ireland take on Turkey on the same pitch.

@Dave O Keeffe: don’t agree , the player sees the ball is getting away , he slows down and clashes with the defender while leaving the box . Contact may have been made inside but he wasn’t trying to play the ball .

@Limón Madrugada: a player doesn’t have to be trying to play the ball to be fouled. The defending player cuts across the back of the attacker clipping his heel. Accidental but in my opinion a penalty.
