OLD DUBLIN FOES Shelbourne and Shamrock Rovers will go head-to-head for a place in the final four of this year’s FAI Cup.

With seven of the eight third round ties complete, the draw for the quarter-finals was made live on RTÉ’s MNS on Monday evening.

Third-placed St Patrick’s Athletic host second-placed Drogheda United while Dundalk make the short trip south to take on Bohemians in Dalymount Park.

Derry City must wait however to find out whether it will be Waterford United or Mervue United who visit the Brandywell. The all-First Division clash was refixed for next Monday, 3 September, after it was postponed for a second time due to a waterlogged pitch in the RSC.

The quarter-final matches will take place on the weekend of 15/16 September.
