EDIN DZEKO SCORED twice as Manchester City took control of the Premier League title race by coming from behind to secure a nail-biting 3-2 win at Everton.
Manuel Pellegrini’s team moved level on points with Liverpool, who travel to Crystal Palace on Monday, but are above the Merseyside club on goal difference. City could have lost first place as early as Sunday, when third-place Chelsea host Norwich, but they will be top going into the final weekend if they beat Aston Villa in their game in hand in mid-week.
With West Ham United due to follow Villa to the Etihad Stadium, the trip to Goodison Park represented City’s biggest hurdle and they fell behind to a fine strike from England hopeful Ross Barkley after only 11 minutes. Sergio Aguero pulled them level before limping off through injury with less than half an hour gone. Dzeko headed City ahead just before the interval and then tapped in the visitors’ third goal early in the second half before Romelu Lukaku’s diving header set up a nervous finish.
Although it was far from convincing, and Aguero’s latest injury is another concern, City know that their nine-goal advantage over Liverpool in goal difference means that two more wins are likely to be enough to secure a second title in three years.
The Goodison Park crowd were strangely subdued throughout — perhaps because a home win would mean Liverpool keeping their league lead — and some fortuitous movie advertising summed up the sentiment that may be emanating from the red side of Merseyside tonight.
'Bad Neighbours' signs flash on the advertising boards at Goodison Park.
Such has been the impact of Gareth Barry, who is spending the last season of his City contract on loan at Everton, that his absence prompted a complete tactical overhaul from home manager Roberto Martinez, who employed three centre-backs. But the hosts controlled possession from the start and should have had more to show for it than a Steven Naismith shot on the turn that flew past the near post from a Leighton Baines cross.

City’s best early opening saw Javi Garcia rise highest to meet Samir Nasri’s corner, but the Spaniard’s header flew straight at Tim Howard, before Pablo Zabaleta thumped over from Aguero’s pass.
With just 11 minutes gone, Everton moved in front through a strike of real quality. Baines’s cross was laid off to Barkley, whose powerful, curling shot from 25 yards flew over Hart and into the top-right corner.

City’s initial response was timid, with Yaya Toure curling a shot high and wide after being fed by Nasri, before Aguero struck. The Argentine had clearly been struggling with an apparent groin injury, but after collecting a pass from Toure on the wrong side of Antolin Alcaraz, he drilled a shot past Howard at the near post. The goalscorer had to be replaced shortly afterwards, with Nasri curling over from the edge of the area after a lengthy spell of possession for the visitors.
Dzeko wasted a good opportunity when his poor cross was easily blocked at the near post, but Everton failed to clear properly and when James Milner sent over a cross from the right, the Bosnian found the net with a towering header.
Everton had the chance to pull level just after the break when Barkley was allowed to surge forward 60 yards. His pass found Naismith, who held off Zabaleta before seeing his low drive superbly tipped around the post by Hart.

Two minutes later, City worked some space down the left and Nasri crossed to give Dzeko a simple tap-in that gave the visitors a two-goal cushion. It looked to have killed Everton’s resistance, as they dominated possession without creating chances. But midway through the second half the hosts pulled one back when Baines crossed from the left and Lukaku guided a header in off the post to give them hope.
A lengthy delay for a shoulder injury to Dzeko helped to stifle any momentum being built by the hosts. With three minutes left City had to call on Hart once again, with the England goalkeeper turning an effort from Gerard Deulofeu around the post. It was the last chance of note as Pellegrini’s men held on for three points.
Agree, draw V Chelsea was enough and Rogers got it wrong and this “we play football a certain way and won’t change” was wrong attitude. Liverpool blew it and (in my opinion) won’t be in that position again for many seasons as Ciy/Chelsea get stronger, Utd come back etc. Liverpool’s defence is very poor and will be even more exposed in Champions League if he doesn’t buy wisely. Not really. Win our last 2 that’s 86 points. Give it take 100 goals. If that’s not good enough then fine. I’m just not putting a seasons performance down to a slip. You win or lose a league over a seasons results.
And let’s not forget that skertl handball not given and the sakho challenge on Dzeko in the box , sterling a goal was given offside , players had stopped at the whistle , wrongly given but was hardly a dead cert
Either city will close it out or city will feck it up. The other scenarios ie Liverpool running riot in both games is less likely. My guess? City will slip on the last day…
Yes, lazy stuff. Aguero’s goal was top class, Dzeko’s header was unreal. Everton got a wonder goal early on and Man City still won. Best team with the most unassuming manager win the league for a change..
Watch the replays he did land awkward on his arm…..wouldnt have affected his lrgs and stopped him getting up but im sure it was sore!……as a toffee was a strange match….was nerve wreaking near the end hoping we didnt equalize!!…..did anyone catch the lyrics to the steve gerrard, gerrard song the fans were singing abt the slip??
Good man about the uneducated barb in an earlier comment, it was nerve wracking that you didn’t want the team you support to equalize? That has small club mentality written all over it more worried about liverpool than your own team, liverpool were guilty of that for years with utd, Everton will never break the top 4 with their fans attitude
Was Liverpool’s best chance at a title in a long time. A woeful Utd side needing rebuilding, Chelsea and City getting poor results recently and yet Liverpool couldn’t shake them off and take advantage, could’ve been their year but not to be I think. Next season will be interesting though as Liverpool have shown they can be in the top 4 mix but champions? I dunno.
Kev…..2nd half of the season means nothing….if we went by that everton would have finished 2nd last season. Liverpool have to have the most uneducated fans in the league….havent got a clue about anything or any other club….
Chelsea man city and arsenal didnt have 7 days off but they didnt fall apart like utd so dont blame the c.l on it cause its been a big part of utd bread and butter for the last 20 years and there is other clubs that didnt play c.l football but there still in the same spots as last year
Everton were outclassed more like! That was a great performance by a strong Everton team. It takes a lot to come through a game like that with 3 pts. Credit where credit it due.
Not sure why Everton fans were subdued. They were still in with a shout for the last champions league spot yet they were more worried about helping Liverpool. Very strange mentality.
Everton, maybe Tim Howard switched off…. But Man City got the points, table does not lie….. Theres to lose…… Will Rodgers put out attacking teams in remaining games to try rack up many goals??? They can score…. Or you play for win and hope for slip up…… Much game still left…… Remember even when City won it, they got lucky against QPR….. Nothing is assured……
If Liverpool had to win their last game to send Everton down, they’d be all guns blazing. Let’s not kid ourselves there’s a big rivalry boarding on hate.
Can’t wait to see ye get knocked in the group stages while Rodgers keeps up his foolish positivity . Ye are gonna get knocked out by besiktas and standard liege no doubt. I will enjoy watching it as I always do. At least we earned our spot each year
foolish positivity? haha! got us to where we are on a shoe string , get new batteries for your remote sonny, a lot of Thursday telly for you if your mam lets you stay up!!
Manchester United fans all over anything but Man U threads…… Says alot….. Sunderland….. Nothing to say about there own…. But they will be back challenging next year….. For 6th…..
Sh1t! I see the utd “fans” are crawling out from under the rocks they have been hiding under. What was the final score today? Oh yeah they lost too Sunderland. What excuse do u have for that? Fergies puppet Giggs doesn’t have balls for management ! Only for screwing things up ;-)
Utd season was well over before today and most of them bar one or two will be joining up with their national team for World Cup duty the week after next so I don’t blame them, who wants to risk injury this close to it , I certain wouldn’t !
Twenty, bad excuse, with changes ahead, you would expect the players to play for Man U future….. This is the most disjointed team since Fergie took over…..
Yes Robert, remember Nani getting chopped, the miracle of getting up to wave an imaginary card before remembering and going back down to roll around? Or the many times Ronaldo did it? Selective memories….. Yes, when Suarez did it, it was embarrassing….. But admit that it comes from many clubs too….
Dzeco should’ve got a red card for that messing around. If he was so badly injured he should’ve been stretchered off. Ridiculous refereeing too. Rant over!
9times; being a grammar/spelling nazi and then proceeding to write some horrendous grammar is pretty embarrassing.
I never understand people correcting other peoples spelling on the internet. Surely better things to be doing like having nightmares about Kolo’s pass against West Brom!
Haha, Ferg! Mourinho’s the man for the theatrics right enough. Did you hear what he said about Hazard in an interview?! He said he’d spent all season showing Hazard how he wanted him to play but that Hazard couldn’t do it. In public this was. Stay classy, Mourhino!
As disappointing as it is to the title almost gone , how can I be disappointed at being in champions league football next season when no one gave pool much of a chance if getting there. To those who slag off pool ( United fans) ye finished last season around 30 points ahead of us. Now ye 20 behind . Now that’s embarrassing
Well said Brian, great season whatever happens now. Would’ve sapped your hand off for a return to champions league at the beginning.
United fans cheering for a team today(city) who they were saying were their real rivals and biggest game of season not to long ago! Ha ha, plastics to the core
Davey boy, we were always finishing 30 points behind because we weren’t good enough yet with pretty much the same players there is a turn around of 50 points plus every bottom club didn’t break their duck at anfield in one season
Funny how Liverpool fans have loads to say this season. Where have ye been for the last 20 years? Fuc kin delighted ye slipped up, literally! United will be back stronger next season while Gerard wanks at how many medals scholes, giggs, Rooney and even johnny Evans has! This will be our year hahaha, and what was that, your going to win the league? That’s nice ;) amazing how a disastrous season for united has been the norm for Liverpool for the last 10 years.
You’ll not make the champions league next season. Let’s hope you win your final 2 games and you can qualify through winning europa.
#plasticssuportingcity
Eoin don’t go down that road of past glories what matters is this season, man utd are shit and that’s it pure and simple, oh yeh take of that man city jersey you have on.
Ahhh Les, expected better, some embarrassing fans on both sides, do not defend them when they make stupid statements….. Man U went from Champs to about 20 behind…. Thats worse than a bad team being rightfully 30 points…..
Haha! You are deluded.. utd are entering the twilight zone.. welcome to liverpool 1991..see utd in the champions league in 2017 if yiz (utd) are lucky.. goodnight and God bless!
Not a united fan but for a pool supporter to say uniteds position is embarrassing is hilarious….is this the 2nd time in 20 odd years youve been in the title race? Have you forgotten finishing just above west brom already?
Perhaps you should do your homework on the Heysel disaster before making the ‘always the victims’ statement. I would gladly talk to you for hours about what happened in Heysel. It was an horrific day. May they rest in peace. What I dislike is people making flippant remarks like yours based on what you want to think.
My comment seems to have been removed. So are you going to try to spin this and say that hysel wasn’t caused by Liverpool fans? 39 people does as a result of Liverpool fans actions. 14 of your fans were convicted of manslaughter. Tell me how it wasn’t liverpools fault? Why don’t Liverpool have ceremonies every year for the dead?
It was removed I’d guess because you were mocking the relatives if people who died at a football match for grieving.
Not sure why my comment pointing that out was removed tho.
Gents,
I wasn’t mocking hillsborough and what happened after. No one should go to a game and not return. This all goes without saying. My original point was that I think Liverpool as a club should remember hysel for what happened. 39 fans did not come home. It doesn’t matter who they were supporting or where they were from. I think it is wrong that Liverpool will commemorate hills borough and not hysel. This is my opinion, not to be confused with mocking the dead.
Massi, it is not forgotten, it is acknowledged, now there is also a strong bond between Juve and Pool. Convictions happened, does not change nothing for the victims or reletives, I get that. Hillsboro is a disaster of epic proportions, not just the day, but the complete miscarriage of justice, the denial of basic human rights, lack of any dignity, and total abuse of power by those there to protect. This happened in a country that likes to tell other countries about human rights and democracy. Says it all….
I agree with you about the subsequent cover up by the authorities, changing if statements etc. it was an absolute travesty, a complete miscarriage of justice. There are no words to describe what the families of victims went through and I think any real fan would agree with me.
Massi, what happened at Heysel was Liverpool fans……. What happened in the year leading up to it was shocking too….. liverpool won Euro Cup in Rome, 84, though apparently it was a mickey mouse trophy back then, many fans attacked, stabbed and so on….. In Super Cup, same thing happened again v Juve….. In fact, every English club, Man U too have always been attacked in Italy, still happens today. There was never trouble with English fans of any club when playing in Europe. There was never incidents like what happened in England. Heysel was a culmination of many bad events….. Innocent people died though, it also highlighted the point that all fans were treated like cattle, the stadium was not even fit enough to be a pig farm….there is nothing nice about all this, remember watching it, shocking. But not forgotten.
“Grief junkies” was your original comment you ignorant man. “Grief” would apply to the families who lost loved ones.
Pathetic you have to bring up the death of anyone to score points on an article about football.
Disgusting human being.
You couldn’t possibly call them bad neighbours. They went out and played the game, and they played for a win or at least a draw. No Everton player threw the game, they did their best as footballers and unfortunately the overall quality of City was just too much for them this time. It happens.
All the proper Man united fans in Manchester want to see liverpool win the league. Anyone but city for them because they know a real rivalry is about.
Half these so called united fans in ireland see their only rivals as being liverpool, and vice versa cos most egits here support one or the other. For no other reason other than they were the most successful clubs in the 80s 90s and naughties. Its pathetic to hear the sniding remarks being thrown around between people over the past few weeks who have no actual affiliation to either club or city. A biy of banter is one thing but some people in this country seriously need to grow up.
Yes Mossy the ‘real ‘ Utd fans in Manchester would rather see Liverpool win , you have obviously never been to a Utd v Liverpool game ever. With City and Utd seasons it’s more about bragging rites then anything else and certainly not hatred !! As a whole it’s good for the city of Manchester if one of them wins the league. Irish people have an affiliation with English clubs and not just because of the irish players that have made it but also the hundreds of youngsters at that go over every year to try to fulfil their dream.
Looking forward to seeing what that consummate professional Andy Carroll does next weekend at city.. Will it be (a) play his best and still not score ,(b) try to score an o.g. whenever City get a corner or free,(c) headbutt someone ( anyone) to get sent Off so as to mess up Liverpools chances or (d) not bother to show up( like the Liverpool midfield against Chelsea)..
I said it before. Clowns on here. Liverpool will be happy wit a top 4 finish and champions league soccer next season. Anything else is a bonus. Couldnt give a shit about utd or anyone else for that matter. One thing for sure is that utd have some job ahead of them to get back into top 4. I dont care if it’s louis van gaal or louis walsh for that matter. They will need all the louis’s they can get.
So Liverpool can finish 7th one season, and challenge for the league the very next. But United can’t even get back into the Top 4 next year?! Really don’t get Liverpool fans’ logic!!
Liverpool were one of the form teams after Xmas last season and scored the most goals, only lost a few games, that have hope that a top 4 challenge was on this year.
Don’t think the same can be said for United with no manager and no team by the looks of it today!
OK as a Liverpool supporter for over 20 years I can honestly say the team have done us proud this year :-) if we lose it now it won’t be for lack of trying ( although Kolo Toure you are first on my transfer list) Stevie G captain fantastic as always , your backs were missing Jamie Carragher ( why did you not give one more year?) Brendan, sorry I already named my first born son after Roy Evans ( didn’t get the support he deserved) and Kenny ( The King Daglish) but should birth control fail my next born will bear your name ! To all the jump on the bandwagon we hate Liverpool fans go and swing there are twice as many Liverpool fans out there who have weathered the last twenty years. This season is going down to the last day and I will be in Liverpool that day come what may. Here’s hoping city will nptyle it and the Pool bring it home but if they don’t it the best season we have had on years and things can only get better from here :-)
One thing I’d worry about if I was a Liverpool fan is numerous changes to the squad in the summer period. 3 signings for cover should suffice. It could be just one of those lucky seasons or on to a good thing. I think they have been great but they are very predictable now and have no plan b. I do hope that they won it however as city lost their groove early and chelsea are so very boring

Looks like liverpool need to score about 15 goals in the last two games :(
Liverpool lost the title last week, it’s not over yet but hard to see city slipping up from here.
Ha ha slipping
So many contradictions, I am getting dizzy.
Tit???? Just giving my opinion
It’s over now,………and I will say ‘blew it again’. You’ll tell me throwing away a three goal lead isn’t blowing it either I suppose
Pretty sure Everton gave it their best shot! Think it’s Steven Gerard’s slip that did the damage last week. I can see palace getting a result on mon too!
If you want to go down that road sterlings goal that wasn’t v city can be seen as the decider.
Bitter much …
Not really. Win our last 2 that’s 86 points. Give it take 100 goals. If that’s not good enough then fine. I’m just not putting a seasons performance down to a slip. You win or lose a league over a seasons results.
The Toure of against West Brom comes to mind as two points thrown away :-( I will still be in Liverpool next Sunday come what may
Damn auto correct Toure Og
Unfortunately for Gerrard and Liverpool if they don’t win the league that will go down as the definiing moment of their season.
My guess? City will slip on the last day…
And skertels handball he punched the ball against city so dont go down that road every club had hard luck stories grow up best team wins league simple
Headlines a bit disrespectful to everton and roberto martinez. His team went out to play. Bad to call them bad neighbours
Yes, lazy stuff. Aguero’s goal was top class, Dzeko’s header was unreal. Everton got a wonder goal early on and Man City still won. Best team with the most unassuming manager win the league for a change..
Very diplomatic about Dzeko’s ‘injury’. Absolutely embarrassing for him, his club and the game in general.
Steve Gerard, Gerard, he slipped on his f***in’ @rse and gave it to Demba Ba, Steve Gerard, Gerard
Pure garbage would liverpool fans want everton win league no city want utd no tottenham want arsenal no so that it everton players gave all simple
Is that English?
Was Liverpool’s best chance at a title in a long time. A woeful Utd side needing rebuilding, Chelsea and City getting poor results recently and yet Liverpool couldn’t shake them off and take advantage, could’ve been their year but not to be I think. Next season will be interesting though as Liverpool have shown they can be in the top 4 mix but champions? I dunno.
One loss in 2014. 11 wins on the bounce. Look where we were jan 1. To now.
Plus having a squad of about 13 players!
See how great they will be when they don’t have 7 days to prepare for every game
Kev…..2nd half of the season means nothing….if we went by that everton would have finished 2nd last season. Liverpool have to have the most uneducated fans in the league….havent got a clue about anything or any other club….
Chelsea man city and arsenal didnt have 7 days off but they didnt fall apart like utd so dont blame the c.l on it cause its been a big part of utd bread and butter for the last 20 years and there is other clubs that didnt play c.l football but there still in the same spots as last year
Everton players did their best. City wobbled and as for dzeko. That’s embarrassing.
City wobbled, liverpool( slipped) up!!!!
Everton were outclassed more like! That was a great performance by a strong Everton team. It takes a lot to come through a game like that with 3 pts. Credit where credit it due.
Ya some shoulder injury not even his teamates were worried about him! Up da toffees! Feck the pool!
Not sure why Everton fans were subdued. They were still in with a shout for the last champions league spot yet they were more worried about helping Liverpool. Very strange mentality.
How are those fairies you hanging out with??
Everton, maybe Tim Howard switched off…. But Man City got the points, table does not lie….. Theres to lose…… Will Rodgers put out attacking teams in remaining games to try rack up many goals??? They can score…. Or you play for win and hope for slip up…… Much game still left…… Remember even when City won it, they got lucky against QPR….. Nothing is assured……
Just bad defending I don’t think much of alcarez myself
The same as those horses you’ve been hangin around with I’d imagine
If Liverpool had to win their last game to send Everton down, they’d be all guns blazing. Let’s not kid ourselves there’s a big rivalry boarding on hate.
They got lucky because Paddy Kenny stopped trying in goals for QPR!
Munich 99lucky? John terry slipping ? Everton winning 2nil phil neville og in this game shall i continue
Munich 99lucky? John terry slipping ? Everton winning 2nil phil neville og in this game shall i continue
What’s that Liverpool fans? Oh you’re going to win the league, oh that’s nice.
Eoin are you looking forward to the champions league , I can’t wait it’s a great competition
Can’t wait to see ye get knocked in the group stages while Rodgers keeps up his foolish positivity . Ye are gonna get knocked out by besiktas and standard liege no doubt. I will enjoy watching it as I always do. At least we earned our spot each year
Poor u I can recommend a good psychirst if u like ;-(
foolish positivity? haha! got us to where we are on a shoe string , get new batteries for your remote sonny, a lot of Thursday telly for you if your mam lets you stay up!!
Champions league is on a Tuesday and Wednesday, I guess it’s been that long since uv been in it
Europa is Thursdays Eoin, you remember that from Basle?
We don’t want the Europa, cos we’re hipsters
Steve gerrard gerrard he slipped from 40 yards he gave it to demba ba Steve gerrard gerrard
Oh manchester,
Is full of ……
Lost 1-0 to Sunderland. At home. Ryan Giggs. Record breaker. #GiggsIn
Manchester United fans all over anything but Man U threads…… Says alot….. Sunderland….. Nothing to say about there own…. But they will be back challenging next year….. For 6th…..
This is someone else…. Classic Journal troll….
Sh1t! I see the utd “fans” are crawling out from under the rocks they have been hiding under. What was the final score today? Oh yeah they lost too Sunderland. What excuse do u have for that? Fergies puppet Giggs doesn’t have balls for management ! Only for screwing things up ;-)
Full of Titles ????
You can give it but you can’t take it mate ! You’ve been all over Utd threads since the season started so go and do one
Yes, even when we lose…. I do not only come out when you get a favourable result…… Mate.
This is the most disjointed team since Fergie took over…..
giggs the ….. eh eh eh?? ah yes the ” next one”…eh eh maybe ” the welsh one”? love it!
Ha ha ha ha ha
And d pot calling d kettle black read d headline Everton and man city nothing got to do with scousers
Are Everton not scousers?
That’s right willie cause it took Jesus 3 days to rise from the dead but Suarez did it in 3 seconds , you make me laugh .. Even harder now
As opposed to lying on the floor for nearly 5 minutes Robert???? Yeah that’s the same thing alright….
It’s the exact same thing you hypocrite. They were both done in different ways to unfairly aid their team. Cop on
The only reason Suarez got up was because Liverpool won the ball back otherwise he’d have stayed on the deck
Cheating !!!
Rant over!
Ridiculous spelling too Mary. If that’s a red card…… All players time waste, it was time wasting,. It’s Dzeko btw.
9times; being a grammar/spelling nazi and then proceeding to write some horrendous grammar is pretty embarrassing.
I never understand people correcting other peoples spelling on the internet. Surely better things to be doing like having nightmares about Kolo’s pass against West Brom!
Thanks, 9times. Dzeko! Still think that was extreme time wasting.
It was Mary. Mourinho must have had him over for a lesson during the week.
Stevie Gerrard’s backpass that scuppered Man U’s winning the League a few years ago – and that slip!
Karma’s a bitch, isn’t it, Stevie? Still hope Liverpool will win the League though!
Though to be honest john, those united fans are probably now supporting city. Plastic to the core
Finishing 20 points behind is more embarrassing than finishing 30 points? Huh?
Davey boy, we were always finishing 30 points behind because we weren’t good enough yet with pretty much the same players there is a turn around of 50 points plus every bottom club didn’t break their duck at anfield in one season
Never about yourselves always about utd
Funny how Liverpool fans have loads to say this season. Where have ye been for the last 20 years? Fuc kin delighted ye slipped up, literally! United will be back stronger next season while Gerard wanks at how many medals scholes, giggs, Rooney and even johnny Evans has! This will be our year hahaha, and what was that, your going to win the league? That’s nice ;) amazing how a disastrous season for united has been the norm for Liverpool for the last 10 years.
not over yet fanny head!
There’s a couple of games in it yet city could slip up.
Ahhh Les, expected better, some embarrassing fans on both sides, do not defend them when they make stupid statements….. Man U went from Champs to about 20 behind…. Thats worse than a bad team being rightfully 30 points…..
Citae winning the premiership would give me no pleasure but it has to be better than our neighbours 30 miles over the road.
So, when is fvckin and wank acceptable? When it backs up authors opinion?
Haha! You are deluded.. utd are entering the twilight zone.. welcome to liverpool 1991..see utd in the champions league in 2017 if yiz (utd) are lucky.. goodnight and God bless!
I’d prefer to see city win because they will never be as good as united full stop. Enjoy your wank to demichaelis getting a winners medal
Not a united fan but for a pool supporter to say uniteds position is embarrassing is hilarious….is this the 2nd time in 20 odd years youve been in the title race? Have you forgotten finishing just above west brom already?
Yea john cause you weren’t supporting Everton yesterday were you …
Boo hoo boo hoo boo hoo ; (
Two of the best teams on Merseyside – Liverpool & Liverpool reserves! Everton are complete & utter sh#te !!!!
Carefull out the door you don’t … Slip!!! Kopites are gobsh*tes!!
Stay classy pool fans
Even your jokes are from 20 years ago…..when liverpool were relevant…
Sept 2013 … Everton 1 Chelsea 0
Dzeko is a disgusting human being. That is all.
This from a supporter of a team with Cannibal Suarez in it?
Nowhere near Suarez’s level though.
From a name with Elephant….
Not as disgustin as bleedin Anto though.
PFA player of the year… say no more..
Another example of pool fans delusion…↑↑↑
haha anybody but Liverpool would never hear the end of it much like world cup 1966 still on about it
Perhaps you should do your homework on the Heysel disaster before making the ‘always the victims’ statement.
Massimo, your a dick….. Talk about the stabbings and attempted murder any time an English team plays in Italy.
Probably because hysel wasn’t covered up for over twenty years maybe? My god the idiocy of your comment actually boggles the mind
Gents,
I wasn’t mocking hillsborough and what happened after.
And John when did I bring the relatives of the tragedy into it? What exactly did I say about them?
A strong bond?….hmm didnt seem to be when juve played pool a few years ago…..
“Grief junkies” was your original comment you ignorant man. “Grief” would apply to the families who lost loved ones.
Pathetic you have to bring up the death of anyone to score points on an article about football.
Disgusting human being.
Its slipping?good win for city in a tough place but rather them than Liverpool,we wouldn’t hear the end of it!
You couldn’t possibly call them bad neighbours. They went out and played the game, and they played for a win or at least a draw. No Everton player threw the game, they did their best as footballers and unfortunately the overall quality of City was just too much for them this time. It happens.
City have 2 hands on the trophy now..All they need to do is lift it
Its a fckn Movie you over hyped media Liverpool Eejits
All the proper Man united fans in Manchester want to see liverpool win the league. Anyone but city for them because they know a real rivalry is about.
Half these so called united fans in ireland see their only rivals as being liverpool, and vice versa cos most egits here support one or the other. For no other reason other than they were the most successful clubs in the 80s 90s and naughties. Its pathetic to hear the sniding remarks being thrown around between people over the past few weeks who have no actual affiliation to either club or city. A biy of banter is one thing but some people in this country seriously need to grow up.
U wot m8?
Will it be (a) play his best and still not score ,(b) try to score an o.g. whenever City get a corner or free,(c) headbutt someone ( anyone) to get sent Off so as to mess up Liverpools chances or (d) not bother to show up( like the Liverpool midfield against Chelsea)..
suzanne kelly and you wonder why Everton let city win, who do you blame for the last 24 years.
Liverpool. Never blamed anyone else.
Boo hoo boo hoo boo hoo ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha sore losers ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Hey utd fans.. yer kids will be parents themselves before the premiership trophy comes to old trafford.
Gunners in top 4again
That was a show in after the loss to palace
That news is missed in this…. Where is Begrud?
Can’t wait til Suarez goes to Madrid in the summer and normality resumes next season
Liverpool could win 6-0 Monday. that at least would make it a bit interesting. ..
Here’s hoping city will nptyle it and the Pool bring it home but if they don’t it the best season we have had on years and things can only get better from here :-)
Bad neighbours??
One thing I’d worry about if I was a Liverpool fan is numerous changes to the squad in the summer period. 3 signings for cover should suffice. It could be just one of those lucky seasons or on to a good thing. I think they have been great but they are very predictable now and have no plan b. I do hope that they won it however as city lost their groove early and chelsea are so very boring
Jaysus it’s getting very personal on here. It’s just a game of ball!!
Love
