Poll: Can Jonny Sexton's Racing Metro make it out of Pool 5 of the Champions Cup?

They will come up against Northampton Saints, Ospreys and Treviso.

POOL 5 OF THE Champions Cup should produce some high quality entertainment, as it contains the early leaders in two of Europe’s three major leagues.

Northampton Saints and Ospreys, who lead the English Premiership and Pro12 respectively, are joined by Racing Metro and Treviso in the fifth group in the competition.

The Saints finally shed their ‘nearly’ men of English rugby tag when they delivered the Premiership title last year and they should have the firepower to top this pool. Racing Metro, who have never made it out of the group stages in Europe’s top flight will view a pool containing the lowly Treviso as an ideal opportunity to claim qualification as one of three highest scoring second-placed teams at least.

Ospreys, who’ve started their Pro12 campaign unbeaten will offer a huge threat to Racing’s chances.

Two teams are likely to make it out of this one. Who do you think will make it out of Pool 5?

Poll Results:

Northampton (292)
Racing Metro (228)
Ospreys (88)
Treviso (33)
