Liverpool are going back to Istanbul after drawing Besiktas while Celtic face Inter Milan

Tottenham were paired with Italian club Fiorentina.

LIVERPOOL WILL FACE Turkish side Besiktas in the Europa League Round of 32 while Celtic’s clash with Italian giants Inter Milan will be one of the standout ties when the competition resumes in February.

Brendan Rodgers’ side dropped down into Europe’s second-tier competition after failing to progress in the Champions League and face the prospect of a trip to the atmospheric Atatürk Olympic Stadium – the scene of the Reds’ famous Champions League triumph in 2005.

Besiktas are managed by former West Ham defender Slaven Bilic and they also have Demba Ba in their ranks.

The last meeting between the sides came in the Champions League group stages in 2007-08 when Liverpool scored eight without reply.

The first legs will be played on 19 February 2015 with the return leg a week later on 26 February.

Celtic, meanwhile, have a high-profile fixture against Roberto Mancini’s Inter to look forward to which is a repeat of the 1967 European Cup final.

Roberto Martinez’s Everton, having qualified as Group H winners, were second out of the pot and were paired with the Swiss club Young Boys of Berne, who played Liverpool in the group stages of the competition two years ago.

Tottenham will meet Fiorentina for the first time while last season’s winners Sevilla will face Bundesliga outfit Monchengladbach.

For the first time, the winner of the Europa League will secure a place in next season’s Champions League qualifying stages.

The final takes place in Warsaw on 27 May 2015.
