SPANISH CAPTAIN IKER CASILLAS may be part of the greatest international football side ever but he showed on Sunday night that he never forgot how to win with grace and dignity.

With the clock running down on Spain’s historic 4-0 win, Casillas encouraged the assistant referee to end the game early in order to show “respect for Italy.”

Seconds later, referee Pedro Proença whistled for full-time anyway but it’s the thought that counts. Casillas is a class act.
