Eoin Bradley hopeful of recovering from Derry after shoulder injury

The star attacker suffered the injury in a club game last week.

DERRY’S STAR ATTACKER Eoin Bradley remains hopeful that he will be fit for their opening All-Ireland qualifier tie despite suffering a serious shoulder injury in a club game last week.

Bradley was in action for Glenullin against Kilrea in a league match last Wednesday night when he suffered the injury.

There were initial fears that he had broken his collarbone but it subsequently emerged that he has suffered damage to his AC joint.

Speaking on RTE’s Championship Matters programme tonight, Bradley revealed the latest on his injury recovery.

“It’s not too bad. I hurt it last Wendesday night. The last few days I have been getting physio treatment on it and the swelling has gone down.

“I’ll know more next week. Derry play on Saturday two weeks in the qualifiers. It’s touch and go but I’m hopeful.”

Bradley would be a significant loss if he is ruled out for Derry’s opening All-Ireland qualifier game which will be a first round clash on June 29th.

The forward weighed in with four points from play during last Sunday week’s Ulster quarter-final loss to Down by 2-17 to 1-15 in Celtic Park.
