CORK’S NINE-TIME All-Ireland winning ladies football manager Éamonn Ryan will be back in charge of the side for the 2015 season.
Ryan has presided over a stunning run of success that has seen Cork claim nine of the last ten All-Ireland senior titles.
Their latest All-Ireland triumph arrived in dramatic fashion last September when they overcame a ten-point deficit to defeat Dublin in a thrilling finale.
The Evening Echo reports today that Cork ladies football board chairman Jerome Casey has confirmed that Ryan and his management team will be at the helm again for the 2015 season.
2004 was the first season when Ryan took charge of Cork and the following year steered the county to win their first All-Ireland senior title. Cork went on to claim the following four All-Ireland crowns and after bowing out at the quarter-final stage in 2010, they came back to win the 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 titles.
Ryan will be joined by Shane Ronayne – who coached Mourneabbey to contest last November’s All-Ireland senior ladies club football final – Pa O’Leary, Bridget O’Brien and Frankie Honohan in his management team. Cork will commence their ladies football league campaign on February 1st with a trip away to Mayo.
