Class video captures just what it means to be involved in a League of Ireland club

Kudos to Dundalk’s sponsors Fyffes for this effort.

DUNDALK FC HAVE come a long way in the past two years.

Having just avoided relegation with a play-off win over Waterford United in 2012, the Lilywhites appointed Stephen Kenny as first team boss.

Fast forward 24 months and they are on the verge of wining the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division title having picked up their first silverware in 12 years with victory in the EA Sports Cup a couple of weeks back.

The club’s main sponsors Fyffes have produced this cool promotional video ahead of a huge couple of weeks for the Louth club..

If Cork do catch Dundalk this season and Dundalk finish second I could see Dundalk qualifying for the Europa League group stages next year as long as they hold on to likes of Towell etc

Dundalk couldn’t get past the 2nd of 4 qualifying rounds this year despite a decent away result against a team who ultimately also failed to reach the groups. It is not impossible for Dundalk to qualify, but it is highly unlikely.
