Prediction time. Wexford to retain the title they won dramatically against Kilkenny last year in Wexford Park or Dublin to be crowned champions for the first time since 2011?

Liam Ryan, Jack Guiney and Conor McDonald are the senior stars included in the Wexford U21 ranks.

Two changes on the Dublin team. Cian Boland is rewarded for his impressive displays from the bench against Laois and Westmeath and starts in midfield.

Up front Glen Whelan has recovered from the injury that ruled him out of the Westmeath win and starts at wing-forward.

And we’re under way in Parnell Park.

Nearly a dramatic start for Wexford as Rhys Clarke got clear close to goal inside the opening 15 seconds but the ball spilled loose as he tried to strike under pressure and Dublin were able to clear their lines.

Wexford 0-1 Dublin 0-0: 2 mins – No mistake on this occasion as Wexford hit the front through a glorious point from the sideline by McDonald.

Dublin miss a chance to draw level with Paul Winters off target from a ’65.

Wexford 0-2 Dublin 0-0: 3 mins – That proves costly as Aidan Nolan doubles Wexford’s lead from the resultant puck out.

Wexford 0-3 Dublin 0-0: 4 mins – Wexford a removing very freely in the early stages. Padraig Foley has just grabbed their third point of the game.

Wexford 0-3 Dublin 0-1: 6 mins – Dublin cut the deficit as Paul Winters get them off the mark.

Wexford 0-4 Dublin 0-1: 9 mins – Rhys Clarke on the mark as Dublin go further ahead.

Wexford 0-5 Dublin 0-2: 10 mins – McDonald extends Wexford’s lead to four points but Paul Winters then responds for Dublin by pointing a free.

Wexford team

Wexford 0-7 Dublin 0-3: 16 mins – Two points for Wexford through Guiney and Nolan while Dublin get on the scoreboard courtesy of Caolan Conway.

Wexford 0-8 Dublin 0-3: 17 mins – This is impressive stuff by Wexford as Guiney slots over a free.

Wexford 0-8 Dublin 0-4: 18 mins – Conway trims the gap facing Dublin to four.

Wexford 0-8 Dublin 0-5: 19 mins – Much better by Dublin as full-forward Oisin O’Rorke gets in on the scoring act.

Sub: Jim White in for Wexford for Declan Byrne.

Wexford 0-9 Dublin 0-5: 20 mins – Guiney on target again from a placed ball for Wexford.

Conor Robinson and Kevin Foley

Wexford 0-10 Dublin 0-6: 25 mins – O’Rorke on target again from play for Dublin as he cuts in from the left wing and flashes a shot over the bar.

Wexford 0-11 Dublin 0-6: 26 mins – Guiney grabs a lovely point and Wexford get another boost before the break.

Another goal chance for Wexford as Kevin Foley breaks clear but his shot is blocked by Dublin net minder Conor Dooley.

Wexford 0-12 Dublin 0-8: 30 mins – Points swapped on both sides as Winters converts a free for Dublin and then McDonald shows his class for Wexford. The scoring spree is rounded off by Cian Boland for Dublin.

Half-Time: Wexford 0-12 Dublin 0-8

So four point advantage for Wexford then at the break, they’ll be the happier side with the first-half but Dublin aren’t out of contention yet.

And the second-half is under way.

Wexford 0-13 Dublin 0-8: 31 mins – Wexford grab a point as Guiney knocks over a ’65 but it could have been so much better for them as Clarke’s goal bound shot was tipped did before that by Dooley in goal for Dublin.

Sub: Cian MacGabhann is in for Dublin for Conor Robinson.

Wexford 0-13 Dublin 0-9: 33 mins – Winters on target again with a free for Dublin.

Sub: Change on the Dublin team as Fintan McGibb (Setanta) comes in for Clabby.

Wexford 0-13 Dublin 0-10: 36 mins – A rasping shot by Winters close to goal strikes the woodwork and flies over the bar for a Dublin point.

Wexford 0-14 Dublin 0-11: 38 mins – A monster free from Dublin goalkeeper Conor Dooley from inside the 20-yard line and the ball flies over the bar. Gary Moore cancels that out with a score that restores Wexford’s three-point advantage.

Wexford 0-14 Dublin 0-12: 42 mins – Sixth point of the night by Dublin forward Paul Winters – the latest from another free – and they are flying.

Wexford 0-15 Dublin 0-13: 44 mins – Dublin quickly cancel that out through a point from Glenn Whelan.

Goal for Wexford!

Wexford 1-16 Dublin 0-13: 46 mins – Wexford have taken a grip of this game once more. Firstly McDonald billows net for the opening goal of the match with a terrific shot and then Nolan pops over a point.

Wexford 1-16 Dublin 0-14: 47 mins – Some respite for Dublin as Conway hits over a point.

Wexford 1-19 Dublin 0-14: 52 mins – Guiney smashes over another free for Wexford.

Wexford 1-19 Dublin 0-15: 54 mins – Paul Winters points a free for Dublin.

Wexford 1-19 Dublin 0-16: 56 mins – Winters strikes over another free for Dublin.
