DUBLIN BOSS PAT Gilroy has made two changes to the side which overcame the challenge of Wexford for this weekend’s Leinster football final.
Diarmuid Connolly, red carded in that semi-final, is replaced by Michael Darragh Macauley.
An all-star midfielder, Macauley has been named at full forward in the side where he is flanked by Bernard Brogan and Kevin McManamon.
Gilroy’s second change was not enforced as he calls upon Cian O’Sullivan to line out at left half back in place of Ger Brennan.
Dublin SF v Meath: Stephen Cluxton; Michael Fitzsimons, Rory O’Carroll, Philly McMahon; James McCarthy, Kevin Nolan, Cian O’Sullivan; Eamon Fennell, Denis Bastick; Paul Flynn, Alan Brogan, Bryan Cullen; Bernard Brogan, Michael Darragh Macauley, Kevin McManamon.
I’m not in the habit of repeating myself
I said I’m not in the habit of repeating myself!!
Eammon fennel named for the dubs again? Is this the luckiest man in Ireland to receive an all Ireland medal? He can’t run and his tan is awful 2 reasons enough to drop the o’tooles sorry Vincent’s player
He’s a splendid male model though.
I’ll be supporting Dublin in this.
Fennel is blessed to retain his place. McAuley midfield and Kilkenny to take Connolly’s place would be a very strong line up
Spot on there. I can’t see that line up lasting more than 20 minutes!
Agree. That has to be too strong for Meath, especially if Bernard Brogan is on form.
Thumbs down! Truth hurts.
I reckon we’ll need goals to beat the Dubs, but then again we have been known to score 1 or 5, sorry 2 against them in the past
H’on the Royal
Yes, unlike Wexford Meath will be confident that they can beat Dublin and that counts for a lot. Should be an interesting game. I think the Dubs will do it but probably not by much.
Mawn Meath !
