THERE WILL BE a full house in Croke Park for next Sunday’s clash between Dublin and Kerry as the game is a sellout.
The GAA have confirmed today that there are no tickets left for the clash between the teams in the second of this year’s All-Ireland senior football semi-finals.
The 82,500 capacity stadium is set to be full as the teams battle it out to face Mayo in the decider on September 22nd.
The news of the sellout is a major boost to the GAA coffers and offers further evidence of the strong appeal of the Dublin and Kerry clashes.
It comes after recent attendances for games in Croke Park have been extremely strong. Yesterday’s All-Ireland senior semi-final between Mayo and Tyrone drew a crowd of 65,345 to headquarters.
The previous two weeks at the All-Ireland senior hurling semi-finals between Dublin and Cork, and Clare and Limerick, were extremely strong as well with both games breaking the 60,000 barrier in terms of fans attending.
The two teams are meeting next Sunday for the first time in the championship since their 2011 All-Ireland final meeting when Stephen Cluxton’s late point proved the match-winner as Dublin defeated Kerry by 1-12 to 1-11.
Next Sunday’s senior clash will be preceded by the Electric Ireland All-Ireland minor football semi-final between Roscommon and Tyrone in Croke Park at 1.30pm.
I hope all ten of the kerry fans enjoy there day out in croker
That’s an outrageous statement to make based entirely on speculation and crude stereotyping. I’m going so that means there’ll be 11 of us. Now who looks foolish.
Dublin fans can’t even make it out of the BigTree in time for throw in, game prob be delayed for half an hour!
Super Dublin.
Will Kerry have a plan up their sleeve plus if Kerry’s forwards click can dubs handle them?
Great news for the touts.
I’ve just bought 4 for my boss in the Upper Hogan section 725 on Ticketmaster.ie & it says there are still 94 available.
Tickets left with ticketmaster, not with Gaa. But even ticketmaster stock will go fast if that’s all they have left on Monday!
There’ll be plenty of tickets available in the pubs and outside the ground on the day
Great game the best team on the day should win so good luck to dublin and Kerry
