DUBLIN GAA HAVE today revealed a new jersey that they will wear for the duration of the 2015 Bord na Mona O’Byrne Cup.
In tandem with AIG, the Dubs are supporting the Irish Heart Foundation’s On The Dry™ campaign, with AIG removing its logo from all Dublin jerseys to be replaced by an On The Dry™ message.
The fundraising initiative asks people to challenge themselves by giving up alcohol for January in order to improve their health and wellbeing and find new ways to engage with family and friends, while raising money to help fight heart disease in the process.
Declan O’Rourke, General Manager of AIG Ireland, added: “AIG is delighted to support the Irish Heart Foundation’s On the Dry™ campaign for 2015. By removing our logo from the front of the Dublin senior football jersey for the duration of the O’Byrne Cup we’re showing our commitment to the campaign.
“By displaying the On the Dry™ message on the front of the Dublin jerseys we hope to help raise further awareness and I’d like to thank the Dublin County Board for their cooperation and support.
“I’m going On the Dry™ myself for January and we will be encouraging all of our colleagues to join me.”
Funds from the On the Dry™ initiative will go directly to helping fight heart disease.
