Johnny Doyle and Ciarán McKeever added to Irish squad

The Kildare and Armagh players will link up with Paul Earley’s squad for the second International Rules test.

KILDARE’S JOHNNY DOYLE and Armagh’s Ciarán McKeever have been added to the Ireland squad for next Saturday’s second International Rules test.

A hamstring tear rules Galway defender Finian Hanley out and his place goes to former vice-captain McKeever who rejoins the panel after Cullyhanna’s Armagh county final defeat to Crossmaglen.

Doyle also rejoins the match day panel and takes the place of Aidan O’Shea who is involved in the Mayo SFC final with his club Breaffy this weekend.

Cork’s Aidan Walsh will also be available despite injuring his knee last Saturday. Scan results showed the Ireland vice-captain suffered bruising to the bone but no ligament damage.
