Downhill competitor narrowly avoids carnage as stray skier drifts into path

Get that eejit back to the green slopes.

NORWEGIAN ALPINE SKIER Henrik Kristoffersen narrowly avoided a major collision at a World Cup race in Adelboden.

As Kristoffersen made his way toward the lower part of the course, some guy on skis (reportedly a ‘course worker’) aimlessly drifted out into his path.

Frankly, he looked like he could barely ski.

Considering dowhill skiers can hit speeds of up to 90 mph, Kristoffersen was fortunate to avoid serious injury. He was allowed to attempt the run again and ended up claiming third place.
