I thought it was a moronic statement, Donaghy shouldn’t even rise to bait like that. Pundits are paid to spout opinions, Donaghy did well today, but he doesn’t need to even bother acknowledging what people say about the team. Everyone knows what a windup merchant Brolly is, and I’m a Derry fan. He’s paid to spout the status quo, before this game it was all Dublin Dublin Dublin. Just quietly prove that everyone can be wrong. Kerry frustrated the Donegal setup, starved them of ball, and took their chances. Wasn’t pretty, but they’re clever enough to know what it takes to win an All-Ireland by now.
He wouldn’t have even got the full forward posiiton as we had Enda Muldoon through the 2000′s.
p.s. what about club football? a Kerry club haven’t won a club AI since 1996 and Derry won one in 2002 and a Derry club nearly got to the AI club final this year as well. That is the problem in Derry though, there isn’t much passion when playing in the county jersey compared to the clubs, it is frustrating for people whos locals clubs are playing division 2 sides with no hope of success anyway.
it is best seen recently when Eoin Bradley left the Derry set up for soccer yet he is still playing for his GAA club because he is passionate about them.
Humility in victory and grace in defeat. I shouted Kerry for all day and have admired Donaghy over the last few games but there was no need for those antics after and during the game with BJK. Donaghy will regret the way he behaved in time. Disappointed to say the least
Think the comments are very harsh, one thing is that Kieran definitely does not refer to himself as Star and he certainly never christened himself that nick name. People should do a little research before slating others in an open forum. He merely identified inaccurate statements made by a journalist and called him on it, I can only imaging that his veins were pumping with adrenalin, in any world of fairness and reason when people are elated and after winning the ultimate prise in their given sport should they have the people watching tv delivering opinion on either them or their achievement with such rancour and bile. Why don’t you get up at 6am and give your every hour for your Club and County,,,
The Kerry accent is quite odd, am I the only one who thinks there is a similarity with the extreme posh Queens English, e.g. the way the queen speaks. Joe Brollaaayyy, Kerrraaayyyy.
Maybe when the people were being taught English in that area years ago they were taught by posh Londoners or something.

There’s no show like a Joe show. Brolly’s going to milk that tonight.
Class
Brolly will be delighted to know he got under his skin.
No all Ireland would be complete without the obligatory ” they said we couldn’t do it, and by god we showed the.”
Thank you Joe Brolly for giving us the motivation to win no 37
He is called STAR by his many fans, silly to say he calls himself star!!

With respect Mick , when brolly had won as many Celtic crosses as Kieran donaghy has he can judge xx
If Donaghy was playing with a county like Derry I don’t think he’d have won too many either

playing in the division 2 i mean

Just don’t like that lad, loves the camera.

I don’t even think Joe was wrong.
Kieran needs a word in the ear.
I think Brolly was as good a player as he was
In fairness though, Joseph wasn’t a symbol of modesty himself
http://youtu.be/yGZlxZ-n31c?t=2m3s
I wouldn’t mind Joe having something negative to say about Kilkenny hurling before the weekend!
All negative elements of kilk hurling are clear and evident and don’t need to be stated by anyone!
Whats the big deal?
Donaghy countered Brolly’s assessment of Kerry, I see no harm in that, Brolly needs to be brought down a peg or two now and then.
Idiot making a holy show of himself and kerry.
For a lad that is around so long a bit of cop on wouldn’t go astray.
There should be subtitles with that clip.
GOOD ON YOU KIERAN …..you should have said a big thank you to Donegal for putting SANTA as goal keeper….HO HO HO. happy days .

V odd alright, had to laugh at speech.. ..a ghlacadh, do foireann Kerraayy
Seems petty, like something you’d hear in the school yard.
Kerry proved Brolly wrong & that’s enough. You’d expect better from a player of his class & experience
