Does anyone know which Olympic officials ran up this £45,000 lunch bill in London?

A bottle of Hennessy costs HOW MUCH?

LAST WEEK A mysterious receipt was posted on Reddit, under the title “My friend’s a waiter and this is a receipt for an official lunch for 15 Olympic Bosses. Now we see where all the money’s going…”

The receipt (which includes an order for a $30,000 bottle of Hennessy at lunch) has resulted in a wide number of responses. Who are the Olympic Officials? Where were they dining? What were they thinking?

Gawker’s Max Read was able to answer one of these questions, pointing towards the menu of China Tang in the Dorcester Hotel.

So who was dining at China Tang? Read wasn’t able to get any confirmation from the restaurant, but they did say they’ve had a large number of Olympic officials in and it was quite possible the receipt was from there.

While there’s a whole host of individual countries the Olympic officials could be from, not to mention the IOC themselves, Weibo-users are assuming the officials are Chinese, according to social media analyst Miss XQ.
