Division 3 football wrap: Limerick send Faithful down with tense one-point win

The Treaty helped their own fight against relegation.

LIMERICK, FERMANAGH AND Sligo all helped their battle against relegation with vital wins this afternoon in Division 3.

Limerick were 1-13 to 1-12 winners over Offaly in Tullamore, a result that confirmed Offaly will drop down to Division 4 after six successive defeats.

Fermanagh defeated Wexford by 2-20 to 3-8 in Enniskillen while Sligo narrowly prevailed at home by 0-15 to 2-8 against Longford.

The results lift Limerick, Fermanagh and Sligo all to six points while Wexford and Longford are on four points. Wexford entertain Longford next Sunday in a relegation decider. Cavan and Roscommon have already clinched promotion spots from this division.
