Berbatov wants Fulham exit - agent

The Bulgarian striker is looking to find another English club when the transfer window opens in January, it seems.

FULHAM STRIKER DIMITAR Berbatov wants to leave the club in January, according to his agent Emil Danchev.

Bulgarian Berbatov joined Fulham from Manchester United in August last year and made an immediate impression, scoring 15 Premier League goals in his first season at Craven Cottage. He has been poor this season, though, scoring just once in 11 league starts, with his work-rate often criticised.

Fulham sacked manager Martin Jol on Sunday and Berbatov is keen to depart Craven Cottage, with his agent revealing that a switch elsewhere in England would appeal to him.

“I don’t usually speculate as nobody knows what will happen in January but what I can tell you is he (Berbatov) is not happy at Fulham,” Danchev said. ”

He would like, if possible, to find another option. I cannot comment (on whether there has been any approach) but the priority is to find a solution to stay in England.”

Fulham have lost their last six matches and sit 18th in the Premier League table.

Martin Jol’s downfall was making this lazy git his captain. Such a poor example for others to follow. His team really let him down.
Such a waste too, Berb could be class when he could be arsed.

Whilst I wouldn’t agree with making him captain , I wouldn’t say it was Jol’s downfall. Nearly all of his signings have been over the age of 30. He brought Darren Bent to the club and he persisted with a two man midfield of Parker and Sidwell. I think Jol’s sacking was justified to be fair.

No way; Jol too good a manager for these wasters, in particular Berbatov. That lazy git should be fined his entire wages every week til he bothers to get off his arse & play, which he’s very capable at, if only he’d try. Criticising Jol for signing players over 30 isn’t valid – that’s no age at all, & they should be well able to play til at least 35/36 if they stay fit.

Players over 30 are less likely to stay fit though. I’m a spurs fan so I like Jol but he’s warranted the criticism he’s received at Ajax and Fulham.

He’ll take more steps to the exit door than he has all season on the pitch.

If Fulham have ambition to stay up they have to insure that waste of talent is gone on January 1st.. He’s dragging the whole ship down. Strolling around, ill give him strolling around across the jaw if i was his coach.
