No way Jose!

Did Mourinho orchestrate dirty tricks in Amsterdam?

Xabi Alonso and Sergio Ramos sent off in bizarre late stages of comfortable 4-o win over Ajax.

LET’S JUST ADD this one to Jose’s long CV.

He’s pulled every trick in the book down the years – and last night he saw two of his players contrive to earn red cards in the dying stages of a win over Ajax in Amsterdam.

Xabi Alosno and Sergio Ramos dawdled deliberately over a free kick and goal-kick respectively – while they were on yellow cards.

They were both  ultimatelydismissed and will miss the meaningless, final group game against Auxerre before returning with clean disciplinary records for the knock-out stages.

Watch the – hilarious – footage here:

Ramos, for his part, today said he did not deliberately get sent off.

The Madrid stalwart told Spanish daily AS: “We haven’t gone looking for the cards. Seeing what the scoreline was, the referee could have spared them. But he sent me off and that’s it.”

Mourinho who claimed he was puzzled by the decisions, said:

I spoke with many players throughout the game, not only with Ramos and Alonso. Stories sell, but the important thing is the 4-0 win and the fantastic game we had. Let's talk about that and not other things.

The sendings-off came after an easy game where the referee has shown some strange yellows. They are cards that I don't like.

It was an easy game to control. Ajax made a lot of fouls and in the first from Ramos he was shown a yellow card.

Tottenham and Arsenal will both be keeping a keen eye on Uefa's investigation into the incidences.

Having finished top of their group, Real will now face a second-placed team in the knockout stage and there is the very real possibility that Tottenham or Arsenal, whose own group positions have yet to be decided, will face a full-strength Madrid team in the last 16.
