Falcao relishing Di Maria partnership at Man Utd

The Argentina winger was in top form on Wednesday with a stunning performance against Germany, and the striker has added to the plaudits following his loan move to Old Trafford

RADAMEL FALCAO IS relishing teaming up with fellow new Manchester United signing Angel Di Maria.

The Argentina international stunned world champions Germany on Wednesday with three assists and a goal of his own in a 4-2 win in Dusseldorf.

Albiceleste head coach Gerard Martino described Di Maria as “one of the best five players in the world” after the game and Falcao – who joined Old Trafford in a deadline day loan on Monday — has added to the plaudits.

“Angel is a fantastic player,” he told reporters. “I love the way he plays, I really do. I’m excited to be a team-mate of his.

“I’m very proud to be at Man United. We’ve been in talks with the club for some months and in the end we were able to meet an agreement with Monaco on the last day of the transfer deadline.”

Falcao will be hoping that he and Di Maria, who left Real Madrid in a €75 million move this summer, can turn Man Utd’s fortunes around as the Premier League giants have failed to win in their first four competitive games of 2014-15.
