DERRY CITY HAVE confirmed that manager Roddy Collins has left by mutual consent.
The Dubliner took over from Declan Devine last November but has endured a turbulent time with the Candystripes, who currently sit seventh in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division table.
Fans at the Brandywell have booed the team in recent weeks and, after Friday night’s 1-0 defeat to Shamrock Rovers, Collins has parted company with the club.
Assistant boss Peter Hutton has been put in charge of first team affairs with the board due to meet this week to discuss a replacement.
In a short statement, Derry said: ”The Derry City FC Board Of Directors would like to announce that Roddy Collins has left the club by mutual consent.
“Derry City FC with to thank Roddy for his service, and we wish him well for the future.”
