VINCENTE DEL BOSQUE may not continue coaching once he leaves his post with the Spainish national team, according to AS.
The former Real Madrid boss was in Leganes promoting a football school along with ex-player Victor Fernandez.
The children present asked the 61-year-old many questions, one of which he responded to by suggesting that “this phase (as national team coach) is the last one for a coach” before, inevitably, being asked on who he thought was better, Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.
“Why do I have to choose between Messi or Ronaldo? They are both great players. But, I prefer those that I have in my national team,” he was quoted as saying.
Another question was posed by a fan of Fernando Torres, who wanted to know why his favourite player was always substituted while playing for the national side.
“They cannot play all the time, this is the problem we have. We have great players in (the national team), we try to be fair and choose the best players for every match,” he said.
