CLARE BOSS DAVY Fitzgerald has rung the changes ahead of today’s Allianz Division 1 hurling league quarter-final against Laois.
There are seven alterations in all from the team that drew at home to Galway in Ennis last Sunday afternoon. In defence David McInerney and Conor Cooney come into the corner-back slots while Patrick O’Connor switches positions to wing-back with Patrick Donnellan brought in at midfield.
Colin Ryan is the other new players introduced to the midfield while the attack features new faces in wing-forward John Conlon and the corner-forward duo of Bobby Duggan – a minor last year – and Conor McGrath.
Conlon, McGrath, Donnellan, Ryan and McInerney all saw game time off the bench in last Sunday’s meeting with the Tribesmen.
The players to make way are Domhnall O’Donovan, Jack Browne, Paul Flanagan, Colm Galvin, Shane Golden, Cathal McInerney and David Reidy.
