THEY’RE BACK IN the game.
Davy Fitzgerald and John Allen were last night ratified by Clare and Limerick hurling officials as their new respective managers.
Fitzgerald will take over his home county, little over a month after leaving his position as Waterford’s bainisteoir.
Trainer Louis Mulqueen and former Cratloe boss Mike Deegan will join the Banner County’s former goalkeeper as selectors.
Allen, who won an All-Ireland as Cork manager in 2005, was rubber-stamped with a unanimous vote on Shannonside, meanwhile.
Ciaran Carey – who was part of Donal O’Grady backroom team last season – stays on, along with new recruits Eamonn Meskell (Ahane) and John Kiely (Garryspillane).
