Try time

A bit of magic from Danny Cipriani created a great try for Sale on Saturday

The Sale out-half’s delicate chip and gather helped make a score for Chris Cusiter

WHETHER YOU LOVE him, hate him or have no opinion of him, there is no doubting that Sale’s Danny Cipriani has a lot of skill at his disposal. He may not be a great game manager but he can certainly blow one wide open, and his chip in the build-up to this try from Chris Cusiter was exquisite.

His assist to Cusiter made me remember this audacious offload to Paul Sackey in the Heineken Cup against Clermont.

Tom Varndell’s try was excellently taken too. The winger seems to have been scoring the exact same try for about ten years. There can’t be very many players to have scored that many club tries without ever making it properly at international level.
