THE DALLAS COWBOYS may not have won a Superbowl for 18 seasons but each summer, for the past five years, the swimsuit edition of their ‘Star’ magazine has been a raging success.
Sparked by the annual demand for the Cowboys’ cheerleader calendars, the NFL franchise kicks off the summer with a special edition dedicated to the pom-pom shakers that rev up Arlington come game-time.
Cowboys supporters were encouraged to register their vote for the covergirl and the contest proved closer than many of the side’s games last season – Dallas finished an 8-8 (win/loss) record and failed to make the post-season.
Front and centre of this year’s magazine is iconic Cowboys cheerleader Emma Mary, a lady that has already been immortalised in doll form by the American Football side’s marketing gurus.
