Crossmaglen and Garrycastle to do it all again on 31 March

Kingspan Breffni Park will host the club football final replay a week from Saturday.

THE ALL-IRELAND Senior Club Football Championship final replay between Crossmaglen Rangers of Armagh and Garrycastle of Westmeath has been fixed for Saturday 31 March in Kingspan Breffni Park, Cavan.

The sides played out a gripping 1-12 to 0-15 draw at Croke Park on St Patrick’s Day as Crossmaglen rallied from five points behind in the second half to force a replay and deny Garrycastle their first-ever All-Ireland title.

Throw-in for the replay is at 5pm, and extra-time will be played if the sides are level again at the end of 60 minutes.

Crossmaglen captain Stephen Kernan will be available to skipper the Ulster champions in the replay. Kernan missed out on Saturday’s drawn game after he failed to have his sending-off against Dr Crokes overturned by the Disputes Resolution Authority (DRA).

But Kernan’s brother Paul and Garrycastle defender Tom McHugh both look set to miss the replay following their respective red cards on Saturday.
