TWO SCHOOLS FROM Kerry, two from Cork and one from Tipperary won group games in the Corn Uí Mhuiri (Munster colleges senior football championship) today.
Reigning champions PS Chorca Dhuibhne – who have won the last three titles – were convincing winners over IS Killorglin at the John Mitchels grounds in Tralee as they had 16 points to spare. It’s the second win on the trot for the Dingle school.
Fellow Kerry school St Brendan’s crushed St Flannan’s in Rathkeale by a staggering 36 points to follow up their opening round win over Mercy Mounthawk Tralee.
Cork outfit Rochestown College got the better of West Limerick Colleges by 15 points while in the same group High School Clonmel defeated St Fachtna’s by four points.
Finally today Clonakilty CC ran out seven point winners in Kilmichael in their all-Cork clash against DLS Macroom.
