Cooper set to retain Kerry captaincy

The Dr Crokes man – who led the Kingdom to the All-Ireland final in September – has again been nominated by the Killarney club.

COLM COOPER WILL skipper Kerry again next season.

The Dr Crokes man – who led the Kingdom to the All-Ireland final in September – has again been nominated by the Killarney club.

Kerry is one of those counties which allows the county champions to put forward a representative to skipper the intercounty side.

The corner-forward will be ratified by the club’s board and will then hope to go one better in 2012, after the disappointment of last season’s dramatic final defeat to Dublin.
