IRISH UFC STAR Conor McGregor has a new fan — Manchester United’s Rio Ferdinand.
Ferdinand is one of many UK fight fans looking forward to the UFC event in Manchester later this month which will be headlined by Michael Bisping and Mark Munoz.
Earlier today he called on organisers to add McGregor to the card on 26 October.
“We need @TheNotoriousMMA on the bill for the uk #UFC event!!” Ferdinand tweeted. “This guy is the real deal.”
The only problem is that McGregor is recovering from a cruciate knee surgery and will be out of action until the middle of next year at the earliest.
Still, he was quick to respond and thank Rio for the support.
