McGregor tells Ryan Tubridy he's 'too damn pretty' for UFC Dublin opponent Cole Miller

The Irish fighter isn’t lacking confidence heading into his upcoming fight. But you already knew that, right.

IRISH MMA FIGHTER Conor McGregor made his third appearance on the Late Late Show since shooting to fame last night.

The 25-year-old headlines the UFC event in Dublin’s O2 Arena on 19 July after recovering from a serious knee injury sustained in his win against Max Holloway in Boston back in August.

McGregor has been been talking down Cole Miller’s chances and labelled the American “ugly” before telling Ryan Tubridy he is “too damn pretty”.

    Big fan of McGregor, but he’s going to look fair foolish if he doesn’t win this fight

    Why does he talk like that? It’s like a cross between Dublin and, I dunno… Old school Chicago gangster?!

    I like the guy, he is doing the country proud, you have to be cocky in the UFC (backed up by talent). I think this guy has both. Time will tell but let’s get behind him.

    Doing the country proud by dressing up a gangster, speaking with an American accent and kicking the lard out of someone in a cage in a makey up sport just to make money.
    I can see it now all little boys imitating their hero Conor.
    Are you having a laugh?

    What’s a ‘makey up’ sport? Were more mainstream sports not made up by someone at some point? Gwan ya tool.

    Hopefully McGregor will put on a show in front of his home crowd, he’s doing us proud by putting Irish mma on the map, I don’t know if he would beat Aldo but he’s a top 5 featherweight for sure.

    @tony
    Froch v groves was a British overhyped domestic fight where 80,000 people in my opinion stupidly parted with their money to attend. Eddie Hearn is a marketing guru who is s very good businessmen as he has proved. No relevance to the Irish fight fan so who cares about a ‘best of England’ match-up. Mcgregor, like anthony munduine here in Australia talks it up to put bums on seats. He is a great athlete however we Irish are not prone to trash talking or bigging ourselves up. He is doing it to generate publicity, a white Irish UFC fighter in the US is big business and mcgregor has tapped into this, good luck to him but the American accent and the unnecessary trash telling I’d beneath him I feel but if it makes him rich he is not going to be bothered. The bad language and trash talking makes him out to be a poor role model for kids and ultimately a poor ambassador for Ireland on the world stage unfortunately because there is no doubt that he has worked very very hard to get to where he is at right now.
