Conor McGregor: will fight again in Las Vegas this September. Rodrigo Romos/INPHO

Conor McGregor is going to write a book about his life 'in and out of the Octagon'

‘The Notorious’ Dubliner is making the most of his heightened profile.

CONOR MCGREGOR IS having a good week.

The Dubliner thrilled a hometown crowd with a first round TKO at the O2 on Saturday night.

Earlier this week, he was pencilled in for a Las Vegas showdown with Dustin Poirier in September. And today McGregor has signed a book deal with Gill & Macmillan Books.

Notorious: My Life in and Out of the Octagon, will be “part memoir, part philosophy in which McGregor reveals the secrets to his incredible work ethic and unshakable belief,” a statement reads.

“We think the world needs something as positive as Conor McGregor’s book” says Conor Nagle, commissioning editor for Gill & Macmillan Books, who acquired the book for an undisclosed sum. “Fans will love to read about Conor’s journey so far, the technicalities of the sport, but more than anything, the sheer self-belief of an incredibly committed man.”

The book will be published in autumn 2015.

Leinster limping somewhat into this game with less than impressive performances in recent weeks. Injuries to SOB, Henshaw, Van der Flier and Conan with Ruddock only back means they’re looking a little light on leaders. Deegan hasn’t impressed me yet this year so wouldn’t be happy to see him replacing international standard back rows in a tight game. Back up at scrum half an issue all year too. Not overly confident at this one and memories of the wheels coming off the wagon at semi final stage in both competitions last year makes me even less confident.

@Thomas McGilly: I wouldn’t exactly say limping, when you consider that we are top of conference B and we beat the Scarlett’s at home and drew away with 17 internationals missing to Ireland over the 6 nations period, but yeah you keep being negative going into our biggest game of the season

@Conor Paddington: I know but the point is that the wheels came off at the business end of last season when we were in better health. The injuries are to key players who are not as easily replaced as others.

@Will Cassidy: Did you watch the game last weekend v Ospreys?? Also, Scarletts were missing huge amount of players too. Finally, it’s not negativity, it’s realism. The form is not what you would want it to be, vital players (especially Henshaw, Conan and O’Brien) are injured and the replacements at 8 and 9 are not good enough to replace international standard players. I’m not saying they’ll lose, I’m saying that I have concerns based on the facts I’ve mentioned. We are not in as rude health as we think we are.
