St Pat's forward scores 0-9 in Hogan Cup semi-final just days after tragic death of his cousin

Conor Convery shot 0-9 in a remarkable display after the sad passing of his cousin.

CONOR CONVERY WAS the star of the show for St Pat’s (Maghera) in Saturday’s Hogan Cup semi-final as he shot 0-9.

Seven of Convery’s points came from play as St Pat’s were too strong and advanced to the decider in Croke Park on April 12th.

It was a remarkable performance from Convery after his cousin had tragically died in the week leading up to the match and was buried on the day of the game.

St Pat’s manager Paul Hughes explained afterwards that it was the family’s wish for Conor to play in the game and he was in superb form in the game in Páirc Esler in Newry.
