Lam makes five changes as unbeaten Connacht head for Glasgow

Marmion rested but Swift, Ah You and and Naoupu all return to starting XV.

PAT LAM HAS made five changes as Connacht look to build on the momentum from last week’s win against Leinster.

The westerners put their perfect start to the Pro12 season on the line when they travel to face the unbeaten Glasgow Warriors tomorrow evening (7.35pm).

Record caps holder Michael Swift returns to the second row for the first time this campaign, replacing Quinn Roux, while Rodney Ah You and George Naoupu are also handed their first starts of the season.

Danie Poolman has recovered from illness and starts on the right wing while Ian Porter takes over at scrum-half from Kieran Marmion who is rested.

Lam said: “It’s been three physical games so far and we’ve made very few changes until now.

“Glasgow is likely to be one of our most physical clashes of the season so it’s the right time to bring in fresh legs and welcome in the experience up front of guys like George, Rodney and especially Swifty who has been raring to go for a few weeks now.”
