Connacht's winning start to the season comes to an end in Glasgow

Pat Lam’s side leave town without a bonus point.

Glasgow 39

Connacht 21

CONNACHT’S IMPRESSIVE WINNING start to the new season came to an end in Glasgow tonight.

The western province started their campaign with three wins on the trot but a fourth in a row proved too much for Pat Lam’s side in this shootout.

They did score three tries but ultimately came away without a losing bonus point as their Scottish hosts crossed the whitewash on five occasions.

Glasgow were 17-7 up at the interval at the Scotstoun Stadium with Stuart Hogg and Henry Pyrgos having scored tries in the first period; Dave McSharry touched down for Connacht.

Hogg again got over for a second half-half try however as well as, DTH van der Merwe and Mark Bennett.

Lam will have had hope thanks to a penalty try and a Darragh Leader effort but he eventually ended the night empty handed.
