GAA cut ticket prices for Connacht football finals

Stand tickets have been reduced to €25 for the clash of Mayo and London later this month.

THE GAA HAS reduced ticket prices in a bid to fill McHale Park for the Connacht football finals later this month.

Mayo host history makers London in the senior final on 21 July while Roscommon defend their title against Mayo in a repeat of last year’s minor decider.

The Connacht Council confirmed today that they are cutting the price of stand tickets in Castlebar to €25 while sideline seating has been reduced to €20.

Juvenile tickets (U16) remain at €5 while €10 refunds will again be available at designated turnstiles for students and OAPs who purchase full-price tickets.

A crowd of 23,257 attended last year’s final in Dr Hyde Park, Roscommon which saw Mayo clinch their third provincial title in four seasons by beating Sligo.

But with the exiles of London making their first-ever final appearance in 30 years of Championship football, Connacht bosses have cut prices in the hope of drawing in a sizable crowd.
