Check out this colour clash as Mitchelstown are crowned Cork JAFC champions

Fans were left scratching their heads for much of this afternoon’s game owing to the sides’ similar jerseys

MITCHELSTOWN EARNED A hard-fought 0-12 to 2-4 win over St Colum’s today and were crowned Cork County Junior A Football champions as a result.

The side, who are managed by former Cork senior boss Larry Tompkins, partially made amends for their Cork football final loss in 2011 by claiming victory.

St Colum’s meanwhile, who had Cork senior midfielder Alan O’Connor in their side, were left to consider what might have been, as they lost out by a narrow two-point margin

Meanwhile, fans were left scratching their heads for much of the game, owing to a colour clash.

The sides’ red and orange jerseys were difficult to distinguish between, with fans and journalists taking to Twitter to highlight this issue.
