David McInerney, Colm Galvin, Tony Kelly and Podge Collins all starred in that underage win a fortnight ago and now have a chance to add a senior All-Ireland on Saturday evening.
But there is no place yet for Shane O’Donnell who was rumoured to be in contention for a starting spot in the full-forwards.
The Eire Óg teen has been involved with the senior panel throughout the season and has 3-2 to his name including goals against Waterford, Laois and Wexford.
Cork manager Jimmy Barry-Murphy last night made one change to his own starting XV. Cian McCarthy starts at half-forward in place of Jamie Coughlan.
Clare (SH v Cork): Patrick Kelly; Domhnall O’Donovan, David McInerney, Cian Dillon; Brendan Bugler, Pat Donnellan (c) Patrick O’Connor; Conor Ryan, Colm Galvin; John Conlon, Tony Kelly, Colin Ryan; Podge Collins, Darach Honan, Conor McGrath.
In Honan we trust… Darach to play to his full potential Saturday and blow this cork team away with couple of goals… The banner to finish job and could well lay claim from Saturday that they could go on and dominate hurling for a few years…
How can you let go of a sure all Ireland… Clare were very badly treated by GAA hierarchy in 1998… Promises made by chiefs not honoured forced relays and players found guilty without even a trial…
Never forgotten never forgiven
Pity the Clare team didn’t change its manager.Lovely team to watch but methinks that Davy Fitz is a rotten sideshow with his foul mouth in front of kids watchin and sends out bad example.JBM the model manager, calm cool but still gets his message across.I hope Clare win but can’t bare Davy Fitz..sorry
That’s very unfair – Davy Fitz is an exceptional sportsman with a genuine passion for the sport and the GAA.
He may not have the eloquence of JBM or some others, but he’s every bit as dedicated and driven and a great role-model for young people all over the country.
Everyone is different – just because he doesn’t fit the perfect mould doesn’t make him less a man.
I’m not from Clare.just a neutral supporter.even if cork win it should be noted that the 2games they played to get to the final where against 14 men and in the final Clare had to play against 16men and all cork could manage was a draw.cork shouldn’t have got as far as the semis
I’m gutted Nelly, gutted I didn’t understand your moronic “joke”. Might skip the final Saturday and weep all day instead. Remember Nelly, when I am sipping a celebratory pint with family on Saturday after a great win you’ll still be a langer who gets his kicks off trolling. Try going out and finding some friends some time fella, it’d do ya the world of good!
Dude go and find a bit of wit and a sense of humour.im not going to get into a childish argument with you.cos thats what you’re looking for ya big SUBLA
Oh I touched a trolls nerve, what’s the matter nelly? As I said, get a life and stop relying on trolling cork fans to get your daily dose of human interaction.
Don’t know how you think you touched a nerve.im not relying on cork people to get a kick its just ye guys can’t admit when ye are in the wrong.sums up cork people really.do you think the referees made it easy for cork in the last 3games?if it was the other way around ye would be whinging for years
Diarmuid its actually great craic rising silly hot headed people that don’t know what a bit of banter is.if you are silly enough to rise to me i can’t help winding you up its funny.like I said find a sense of humour buddy it’s just a bit of craic.
But no one finds you funny nelly. You are a clown who is boring the life out of people. It’s not often you’d hear dubs backing cork fellas but dubs were even telling you shut up on here recently. I don’t know what your definition of comedy is but you may want to reevaluate it fella. As I said it’s only a reflection of how pathetic you are when you’re blabbering on so long now! change the record, diverse a bit! You’ve grossly outplayed your “mock the langers” hand!
You can say what you like cos your not offending me in the slightest.i don’t care what other people think I think it’s funny.i don’t think I’ve out played it cos theres still cork people replying and trying to defend what I’m saying.which btw are all true facts.il ask you again have the ref’s made it easy for cork in the last 3games yes or no.come on answer the question
There was no reason to change really, Clare are a great team with a great future ahead! Best of luck to the banner on Saturday, albeit I hope to Christ we beat ye! Rebels Abu!
Haha May the best team win, ye have a great team that’s no doubt. But I’ve a great feelings our banner boys will take it home :) we are going to do it :)

Clare are man for man better hurlers all over the field than cork bar Anthony Nash. If they have their mind right and if the ref is any way neutral it will be a walk in the park for them. Just wish it wasnt Davy Fitz who is going to take the credit. Heres hoping to another good game of the greatest sport in the world and lets hope the ref isnt being looked after by frank murphy again.

In Honan we trust… Darach to play to his full potential Saturday and blow this cork team away with couple of goals… The banner to finish job and could well lay claim from Saturday that they could go on and dominate hurling for a few years…
The last time clare dominated the hurling scene the Gaa chiefs didn’t like it 1 bit and robbed them of an all Ireland in 98-Who dares to speak….
Hahaha, hold on, robbed? Ye had a 3rd replay, which ye lost after the ref blew the 2nd game up 2 mins early! Let it go…
How can you let go of a sure all Ireland… Clare were very badly treated by GAA hierarchy in 1998… Promises made by chiefs not honoured forced relays and players found guilty without even a trial…

There is nothing sure in this life, it was only the Semi. Ye hadn’t even gotten to the final, so no such thing as a guaranteed All-Ireland.
