Injured Healy cheers on Clontarf as they beat Old Belvedere to lead league

The Leinster prop was joined by Connacht’s Paul O’Donohoe at Castle Avenue last night.

CIAN HEALY WRAPPED up relatively warm at Castle Avenue last night as he cheered on former club Contarf during their 20-13 victory over Old Belvedere.

Healy, who misses out on this evening’s Pro12 game between Leinster and Munster with an ankle injury, was joined by Connacht scrum-half Paul O’Donohoe for the top-of-the-table Ulster Bank League tie.

The home side trailed 10-8 at the break to Belvedere, who entered the tie as league leaders. Tries from Darragh Fitzpatrick and Bryan Byrne, with five kicked points from David Joyce, nudged the hosts ahead and Ian Hirst added an insurance try. The result leaves the two Dublin sides level on points but ‘Tarf have a match in hand.
