ST PATRICK’S ATHLETIC have tied down striker Christy Fagan for next season.

The Dubliner was recently named PFAI Player of the Year for 2014 after scoring 20 league goals for the Saints and bagging a brace in the FAI Cup final win over Derry City.

Pat’s, who finished third in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division last season, have also announced the signing of goalkeeper Conor O’Malley from Shamrock Rovers B.

“St Patrick’s Athletic are delighted to announce the confirmation of the re-signing of Christy Fagan and new signing of goalkeeper Conor O’Malley,” a statement reads.

“Fagan, the PFAI Player of the Year and Sandtex sponsored St Patrick’s Athletic Player of the Year for 2014, re-signs for the club having scored 27 goals in all competitions for Liam Buckley’s side last season.

“O’Malley joins the Saints having spent last season with First Division side Shamrock Rovers B, while he is also a member of the NUI Maynooth university side.”
