'Get over my £100k wages' - Samba responds to critics after Rs horror show

The defender has hit back after his two mistakes helped Fulham to a 3-2 win last night.

QPR’S Christopher Samba has called on fans to get over his huge salary and urged them to get behind the team ahead of their relegation scrap.

The Rs defender, who joined from Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala in January for £12.5m and is reported to be on £100k a week, was at fault for two goals last night as the visitors suffered a 3-2 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage.

After bringing down Ashkan Dejagah and conceding a penalty, Samba was caught in possession by Damien Duff before Dimitar Berbatov scored his second of the night.

“I’m really sorry I let the side down, really upset with my first half performance I can’t say sorry enough to all the supporters, won’t give up,” Samba tweeted.

“Before I go tonight I just want to say I see a lot of you talk about I shouldn’t say sorry, well when I’m wrong I’m wrong I hold my hands up.

We do our best every week, what I get paid has nothing to do with any of you, for my price tag I didn’t put a price on my head, grow up please.

Just some more than others, hope you understand – fed up with the money tweets get over it and support the team.”

Harry Redknapp’s side are 19th after the defeat and lie seven points off safety with seven league fixtures remaining.
