Want to add a few hundred thousand or so to your Twitter numbers? No problem… if you’re an NFL star.

CHAD OCHOCINCO HAS more than three million loyal followers on Twitter.

The NFL player’s followers keep hanging on for his silly tweets, great music recommendations, and frequent replies and retweets.

Since Ochocinco is so successful on Twitter, he was asked to speak at Emerson College Social Media Class to share his secrets with wannabe Twitter stars, according to The Boston Herald.

This is how he says he does it.

  • Step 1

    On creativity: “I’m creative and, because of the way I am, I’ve been able to get the following I have.”

  • Step 2

    On cursing: “I curse in my feed. I can express myself in ways other athletes can’t, and so I can relate to everybody.”

  • Step 3

    On dating: “I met my fiance on Twitter,” he said. “And it’s because we had a fight!”

  • Step 4

    On negativity: “I answer back witty, and then, everyone else (all his other followers) does too.”

  • Step 5

    On being yourself: “Nobody touches my Twitter feed EVER,” he said. “That’s all me.”

    Deep stuff here. I think its a bit of a no brainer. Famous NFL player tweets controversial content. Millions of followers guaranteed. Try doing it if you’re Tom Murphy from Dingle who works in a vegetable shop. Might be a different matter then.
