Week goes from bad to worse as Celtic lose out to Ross County

The Hoops let a 2-0 lead slip and conceded in late on to suffer defeat at the Global Energy Stadium.

STRIKES FROM GRANT Munro, Sam Morrow and Stefan Wohlfarth helped Ross County come from behind to beat SPL leaders Celtic 3-2.
The Hoops looked to be coasting to a comfortable win as a stunning strike from Charlie Mulgrew and a Gary Hooper chip had the Parkhead side two goals up at Victoria Park.

The home side made two changes from the line-up that drew the Highland derby at home to Inverness CT last Saturday, with Martin Scott and Stuart Kettlewell replacing Ivan Sproule and the suspended Richard Brittain.

Neil Lennon once again rang the changes from the side that fell to defeat at Juventus, with Efe Ambrose, Rami Gershon, Dylan McGeouch, Miku and Anthony Stokes coming in for Adam Matthews, Emilio Izaguirre, Victor Wanyama, Georgios Samaras and Kris Commons.

With 15 minutes gone, the SPL leaders went into the lead in somewhat bizarre fashion, after Grant Munro headed an Ambrose effort out for a corner, which Mulgrew took and whipped straight over keeper Michael Fraser and into the net.

The pressure continued from the visitors, with Miku making his way through the middle of the Ross County defence, but this time Fraser was on hand in to save easily.

Only six minutes after taking the lead, the Hoops extended their advantage as McGeouch played the ball back to Hooper after making his way down the right and the English striker finished off the move by chipping Fraser for Celtic’s second.

Just after the half-hour mark, Ross County got into the game, as Kelvin Wilson could only clear the ball into the path of Munro and the defender unleashed a strike past Forster and into the back of the net.

And with 10 minutes left in the first half the hosts were level as Iain Vigurs swung a cross in for Morrow and after his first attempt was blocked, the striker made no mistake, firing the ball into the net.

On the stroke of half-time Celtic had a chance to regain the lead, but Stokes failed to make anything of the chance as both teams went in level at the break.

Both sides exchanged free kick efforts in the opening five minutes of the second half – Mulgrew for Celtic, Vigurs for Ross – but on both occasions the players saw their strikes sail wide of goal.

Celtic almost handed their hosts the lead as Ambrose failed to clear properly and that allowed Scott in on goal, but Forster came to the rescue, saving his centre half’s blushes as he came out to collect the ball.

In the final 10 minutes, Ross had a chance to claim all three points as substitute Wohlfarth had an effort at goal, but unfortunately for the side it sailed wide.

As the game entered injury time a defensive lapse from Wilson gave Wohlfarth a chance at redemption, and he duly tucked away the match-winning header to the delight of the home fans.

In other results, St Johnstone wrapped up a 2-0 home win over Kilmarnock, with Murray Davidson and Gregory Tade the goalscorers.

Dundee were denied a win at home by an 83rd-minute equaliser from Inverness’ Billy McKay in a 1-1 result, while Aberdeen and St Mirren were held to home 0-0 draws by Motherwell and Dundee United respectively.

Basically he’s saying that Utd have the money and in order to compete at the very highest level you need to spend it (occasionally a Leicester will come along and do it on the cheap or the team produce a home grown crop of talent a la Man Utd in the mid 90′s). If you want to have the best at anything you have to pay top dollar. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, PSG, Chelsea, Man City & Man Utd all compete at the highest level by using their resources (money) to make themselves better. Its the way of the world, the haves versus the have nots. Read this bit again as it summarises succinctly what he is saying:

“I know the discussion, I understand that, sometimes in football, things happen and the club breaks the record, but this is only possible at clubs like Man United.
“When I heard some of the comments and heard some of the managers criticising that, I don’t think they ever have this problem because, to have this problem, you need to be at one of the top clubs in the world. So at Man United it can happen.”

I don’t support a premier league club but if I was a Man U fan I would be seriously happy at this signing.
Forget the money, that makes little difference to a club of this size.
Forget the past and what they let him go for, again that doesn’t matter a jot in 2016.
What Man U have got here is a big, extremely athletic midfielder with a great touch and an eye for goal.
He’s also still a young fella with a lot of room to improve.
Pogba would realistically walk into any team in the world and there’s very few players in the EPL you can say that about

Manchester United has won record 13 titles under Sir Alex Ferguson since 1992 and there have been only 4 other teams in last 23 years to win league title with Chelsea winning 4, Arsenal 3, City 2 and Blackburn Rovers solitary success in 1994-95

I never liked Jose’s personality, still don’t, but he has a record of winning things and I’ll take that. Yes Zlatan is old and Miki is in his prime but Bailly and Pogba are young along with a lot of the squad so I can see some future planning there.

Do you want to cast a spell on an ex-lover so that he comes back with you? You need your boyfriend or girlfriend to love you even more than today? You want to make someone love you? All these requests will most probably find a positive answer with one of my best love spells. For now, all you need is to give me details about your case so that I can evaluate the possibilities and success rate of a spell I’d cast for you.
