Kingscourt Stars will face Mullahoran in this season’s county senior football final after both triumphed in their semi-final clashes over the weekend. Kingscourt Stars won comfortably by 1-16 to 1-6 against Castlerahan in Kingspan Breffni Park on Saturday night. The winners lead by 1-6 to 0-3 at the interval with Joe McMahon grabbing their goal. Castlerahan struck a goal in the second-half through Oisin O’Connell but 2010 champions Kingscourt Stars ran out convincing winners.
At the same venue yesterday Mullahoran qualified for the decider with a 0-14 to 1-9 success over Killygarry. Donal Thomas pounced for the only goal of the game in the early stages for Killygarry but Mullahoran recovered to lead by 0-5 to 1-1 at the interval and held on for a two-point victory.

Longford Slashers ambitions of a third consecutive county senior football crown is still intact after their 2-13 to 0-13 victory over Clonguish at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park yesterday. The winners lead at the interval thanks to goals from Martin Nevin and Colin Smith and held on for a six-point victory by the final whistle.
Their opponents in the decider will be either Dromard or Emmett Óg after Dromard defeated Colmcille by 1-13 to 0-10 in yesterday’s quarter-final replay. The key score arrived seven minutes from time when Cian Mimnagh raised the only green flag of the game.
Ballybay reached the county senior football final for the first time since 1987 and will face 2010 champions Clontibret in the decider after yesterday’s semi-final action in Clones.
County star Paul Finlay was on board as Ballybay claimed a 5-8 to 0-13 success against reigning champions Latton with Finlay, Christopher McGuinness, Hugh and Colin Malone, and Brian McCabe all raising green flags.
Clontibret got the better of Castleblayney by 1-11 to 0-12 and were grateful to inter-county attacking talisman Conor McManus for notching 0-8 while Vincent Corey pounced for the only goal of the game.
