BASKETBALL IS A team sport but Carmelo Anthony hit a significant individual milestone in the New York Knicks’ win over the Charlotte Hornets last night.

Melo landed this three-pointer early in the first quarter and passed the 20,000 career points mark.

The 30-year-old Big Apple native becomes just the 40th player in the 20k club, and the sixth-youngest in NBA history.

He wasn’t done either. Anthony finished with 28 points as the Knicks beat the Hornets 96-93.
